The Election Results: A Referendum On Truth Vs Lies

Much of America is reeling from the nightmare results of last night. My phone has not stopped ringing with distraught clients, family, and friends. The question that keeps coming up, is ” how did this happen?” Over the next several weeks, I expect that there will be an in-depth analysis of that question, by the very people who got it wrong to begin with. I’d like to offer some thoughts that may resonate.

There are some obvious factors to consider here: the deep-seated racism in this country, for one. The rage and disrespect towards our first black president has been incredible, with an entire section of the country focused on destroying his legacy. Much will be said about that. It’s tragic. But something that is much more subtle, is the underlying problem we have with the consciousness of humanity, with what we call the Race Mind, or Group Mind. That problem can be summed up in one word: Denial.

Denial is a very powerful coping strategy. It blocks a person from seeing the truth. That’s it’s only job. To keep people oblivious to things that make them uncomfortable. Unfortunately, things that make us uncomfortable are the things we need to heal, so that we can grow. This culture has adopted so many ways to avoid the truth, that it’s somewhat hard to believe. Alcohol, food, drugs, religion, sports, it is a country of addictive behaviors. One of the first things that gets challenged in recovery is denial. Denial is a thief and a liar. It steals our opportunity for soul growth, which is our only purpose for being here. It was the Christ who said ” And the truth shall set you free.” Well, it would, if people weren’t allergic to it.

Truth, on the other hand, can be very frightening to people. There is a personal responsibility that comes with the truth, because if you see the truth about a situation in your life, you feel that you should act on it. Only warriors embrace the truth, it is not for wimps. Here is how that played out in this election.

Donald Trump is not a very intelligent man. He doesn’t read, doesn’t study, has no interest in anything other than himself, a classic narcissist. This is not news. But…. Where he is absolutely brilliant is at manipulating people. He sees what they want, or need to believe, and he gives it to them. He lies. He has elevated lying to an art form. Now, lying is ancient. In the Bible, Jesus calls Satan ” The father of lies.” ( John 8:44). When people are frightened or angry, it is easy to manipulate them, they desperately want to believe what you’re saying, no matter what anyone else tries to tell them.  This is how Trump won the Primaries, he lied about all of his opponents. It’s how he defeated one of the most honest ( yes, honest, Secretary Clinton was ranked by a Pulitzer winning fact checking group as the most consistently honest politician in the race). By pandering to people’s fears and denial of realities they found too overwhelming to process, the changes in the world around them, for instance, he was able to seduce and deceive them. They WANTED TO BELIEVE HIM. This is key. They were eager to buy what he was selling. The truth had no chance.

The very thing that makes Hillary Clinton who she is, is that she has always spoken truth to power, been a champion for children, women’s rights, civil rights, and human rights. The brilliant strategy of the Trump campaign was to turn her courage and FEARLESSNESS into a weapon that was used against her. He forced her, over and over, to challenge the denial mechanism of a large part of the population. And as any therapist can tell you, if you do that, people will run, screaming, away from you. And they did.

46.9% of the population did not vote. Hillary won the popular vote, but lost the electoral college. This election was a referendum on the truth vs lies. And the truth lost. It lost for the reason it always loses. People are afraid of it. Here’s the thing about fear, it is the ultimate liar, the ultimate evil. The Karma for those in this country that chose fear, denial, racism, misogyny, is going to be brutal. No one outruns the Karma police. No one. Those choices were made with Free Will. The people who chose not to vote will also incur that Karma. It isn’t going to be pretty.

Those people who chose compassion, growth, change, trying to make the world a better place, women’s rights, civil rights, human rights, need have no fear about being sucked into the negative Karma of others. The Universal Laws don’t work that way. That would be like saying you would manifest the same Karma as a murderer, when you did nothing wrong, and did your best to prevent the crime. Everything we send out, we get back. All of the love, hard work trying to educate humanity, that energy was NOT wasted. Love is never a waste. Compassion is never a waste. Truth is never a waste.

Another quote from the Christ is ” There are none so blind, as those who will not see.”  ( Denial.)

Take the time you need to grieve, to process, to be angry. For many, this whole election process has been a trigger, bringing up old betrayals and abuse. If that’s the case for you, find a safe person to share with. Trauma always needs to be released.

This is the time to practice acceptance, as mentioned in the Serenity Prayer: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”. I accept that I cannot change others, or move them away from hate and fear. I choose to focus on what I CAN change.  I know that if I change my consciousness to reflect my partnership with the Divine, and keep it changed,  no harm can befall me, or those I love. We must repudiate fear. We must cast it out. This is the time for the Lightworkers and warriors of the heart to stand strong, to stand as one. Do not focus on the Dark, that way lies fear, fatigue and despair. Focus on the Light within. Focus on goodness, mercy, and compassion. They have not been vanquished, nor will they ever be. I refuse to give my serenity and power away to a bunch of liars and misguided souls. We are not alone. Many stand with us, in this realm, and others. I send love and gratitude to Secretary Clinton. She is my hero. And as for me, I’m a warrior of light, a fierce and fearless woman of Truth. I walk the Path of the Sword, as a guardian.  I will fulfill my Sacred Covenant. I will stand. Join me. Blessings, Judith

Monthly Forecast for Scorpio

img_2117There are some very powerful days coming up in November for anyone with a Scorpio Sun, Moon, Ascendent, or Mercury. 11/5 starts the month with several positive aspects. The Moon in Capricorn makes a harmonious sextile aspect to the Sun in Scorpio, while simultaneously being conjunct to Pluto, the master Alchemist. This affords us the opportunity to go deeper into our own process, shedding as we go whatever no longer serves us. 11/7 follows that up with the Scorpio Sun making that sextile to Pluto, strengthening the will to stay the course. The Moon trines Jupiter, giving us renewed faith, hope, and optimism, while its sextile to Saturn brings the discipline and patience we need to balance the optimism of Jupiter.

Election Day, 11/8, looks very good for Hillary Clinton, who is a Scorpio with a Pisces Moon. The Moon will be in Pisces on 11/8, by late afternoon Eastern time. Early in the day it forms two sextiles, one to Uranus, the planet of liberation and awakening, the other to Venus, the planet of love and compassion. These two aspects support a decisive victory for her.

The Moon trines the Sun in Scorpio on the 10th, a very strengthening and stabilizing aspect for the country after a brutal and emotional election, allowing a healing energy to begin. Another good day is 11/20, with the Moon in Leo making several positive aspects.

The Sun moves into Sagittarius on the 21st, shifting the energy from Water to Fire. The New Moon in Sagittarius on 11/29 gets things moving, while 11/30 closes out the month with more optimism, freedom, and movement forward. All in all, a very powerful month. More than any other sign, Scorpio reminds each of us of our potential to become the Phoenix, rising out of the ashes of our past, out of our pain, reborn into the possibilities of a new day. Become the Phoenix, and rise. Blessings, Judith
