The May 3 Full Moon

The May 3rd Full Moon is only a few days away, and looks to be a powerful one. A Full Moon is when the Sun and Moon are exactly opposite each other in space, 180 degrees apart. This Full Moon we have the Sun in Taurus, with the Moon in Scorpio. Both of these signs of the zodiac are “Fixed” signs, Taurus is fixed Earth, while Scorpio is fixed Water. The fixed signs are seen as the perfectors, the finishers of the group. They are also seen as the most stubborn. This Full Moon should be interesting, to say the least. Right smack in the middle of this opposition, we find Jupiter in Leo, which is fixed Fire. Jupiter never affects us through lack of anything, when it makes a challenging aspect like this. Oh, no. Jupiter is called “The Greater Benefic” by the ancient astrologers, so the frictional aspects to Jupiter, which this is, impact us through too much of a good thing. Try to avoid over-optimism, over-extending yourself. Over-giving. Making promises you can’t deliver on, or as the kids in my practice say: “Don’t write a check with your mouth that your ass can’t cash”.

Joining the party is Mars, conjuncting the Sun in Taurus. Mars is the desire planet, as in, “What do I want”? Mars Conjunct the Sun gives increased vitality and momentum. Opposite the Moon, however, oh, boy. The Moon represents feelings, emotions, intuition, and the subconscious mind. When Mars and the Moon are in opposition, it can make people irritable or more highly emotional. Now add that Jupiter into the mix, and what you have is a Cosmic signature of a car with no brakes. Mars rules speed, weapons of all kinds. Construction, demolition, fire, and passion. Jupiter rules the law, philosophy, foreign cultures. Ideologies. I think we can expect to see some pretty heated debates this week about interpretation of the law, or people protesting the abuse of power. In fact, we are already seeing it. Since all of these planets are in fixed (stubborn) signs, nobody gives in.

On a personal level, my suggestion is about what NOT to do. Try to avoid engaging in debates or philosophical arguments this week. Avoid people that you knowimage already have stress fractures in their energy body. People with substance abuse issues, mental health issues, are going to be more reactive than usual during this Full Moon. Slow down. Since Mars rules speed, drive more carefully on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Watch out for other drivers. This is the perfect road rage aspect. If you normally flip somebody off if they cut you off, don’t. Practice restraint. Only because this particular Full Moon is set up to push people’s buttons, big time.

From an alchemical point of view, it can be a great time to cut your losses and walk away from people, places, and things, because of the planet Pluto. Pluto in Capricorn is making a fabulous trine aspect to the Sun in Taurus, as well as making a lovely Sextile aspect to the Moon in Scorpio. These two very positive aspects offer us the way out of the drama of this Full Moon. Let. Go. Pluto rules death and rebirth. It is the Phoenix rising up from it’s own ashes. Don’t be stubborn and hold on to what no longer serves you. Let it go, and move on. Embrace change. Embrace possibilities. Try and lay low, avoiding the drama being generated by this Full Moon wherever possible. One thing is for sure, it won’t be boring. Blessings, Judith

Mystify Me

I was sitting with my friend Laura last night, she had come up to visit, and look at the newest Crystal additions from the show last Friday. Anyway, as we were catching up on things, I had music on my iPad playing, and Mystify by INXS came on. We both love that song. It could be the perfect anthem for Mystics. Some of the lyrics are: “Eternally wild with the power to make every moment come alive, all those Stars that shine upon you, will kiss you every night. Mystify. Mystify me. Mystify. Mystify me.”

I love living from magic, from the mystical. The Universe is all energy, light, and power. Parallel dimensions exist alongside of this one, separated only by vibration and frequency. Miracles are possible in every moment, as soon as we suspend the left brain and shift to the right brain, the portal to the mystical. As I was listening to the song, dancing in my chair, I was celebrating. Celebrating the wonder of life, the sheer joy of it. The moment we open ourselves up to the mystical, we shed the bondage of the analytical mind. We are free. Free to be who and what we really are. So, yeah, mystify me, Universe. Mystify. Blessings, Judith

A Merlin Teaching: The Path Of The Sword

There are different types of paths healers can walk, according to Merlin. One of them is called The Path of the Sword. This has been my own personal path for many lifetimes. The Path of the Sword is the path of the Warrior. It is the path of the fierce and fearless Heart. Healers who walk this path tend to be champions for the children of the world, the animals, the environment, and the voiceless. We stand for survivors of abuse of all kinds, sexual abuse, domestic violence, racism, bullying, and discrimination. The Sword Merlin speaks of is the Sword of Truth. This Sword cuts through the lies and illusions offenders hide behind. It is a Sword of Light, which illuminates the darkness of pain and suffering.

Walking the Path of the Sword necessitates having extremely strong psychic shields and personal boundaries. There is no anger or rage involved at all. There needs to be a bedrock foundation within the self, not of the Ego construct, but rather, of the Soul itself, which is eternal. This path has been walked for eons by Mystics, Wizards, Shamans, and Mages in cultures all over the world. It includes protocols for protection work, extractions, and exorcisms. It is a path that confronts the Dark. For example, Archangel Rafael, Archangel Michael, Archangel Uriel and others are often depicted holding either a flaming Sword, or a Sword of Light. Merlin has said that they lead an army of Lightworkers trained to protect mankind against the encroachment of the Dark. The commitment to the Light within, and the commitment to protect and serve all must be a choice, made freely in some time and some place on the Soul’s journey. Extensive training is given, but the only real requirement to walk this path is a fearless Heart.

As we look at the news, at events happening across the globe, we see some very distressing things. Without focusing on the negative, which I believe feeds it, it is enough to know that humanity has come to a spiritual crossroads. Souls are choosing to be heroic, or giving in to woundedness. Those that walk the Path of the Sword expose corruption, the abuse of power, and the betrayal of the innocent. They can be journalists, teachers, social workers, police officers, or soldiers. They can be environmentalists, Rangers protecting animals from poachers, or involved with animal welfare organizations. They are all proactive. The Path of the Sword is a path of honor and integrity. There is no bullying on this path, because bullying has it’s roots in fear. True Warriors are fearless. Only a coward would abuse the Sacred Trust of this path. That would create terrible Karma.

It is an honor to walk the Path of the Sword. It is an honor to stand with others who do. For women who walk this path, and are labeled by western culture as bitches, unfeminine, aggressive, whatever… I say to all of you, thank you. All of you have contributed to changing the world. One of my heroes is Mother Jones, 1830-1930, whose quote “Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living” sits to my left in my office where I can see it. After losing her children to illness, she put together a movement to protect children from horrific child labor practices. Her legacy lives on today. For the women who shattered every cultural restriction, who fought so that the rest of us could have the right to vote, thank you. Warriors all.

I will always walk the Path of the Sword. It is a path of the courageous Heart. I send prayers of thanks and gratitude for all who walk it with me. I send you my love. Blessings, Judithimage
