Crystal Meanings by Judith

Aegirine Cluster

Aegirine Cluster

Aegirine – Aegirine is one of the most powerful stones that there is for psychic protection. It is far more powerful than black Tourmaline, which it is often mistaken for. Where black Tourmaline absorbs negative energy into itself, and converts it into light, Aegirine deflects negative energies away from itself, while flooding the environment with light. If we are in the presence of a disturbed individual, we are better served by Aegirine, deflecting the toxic vibration away from us. Aegirine is only found in a few places, Malawi, in S. Africa, ( Mt Malosa, to be precise ), and Russia, where we get Charoite. Charoite is often found with inclusions of Aegirine, making it a very powerful ally for protection and purification. I buy Aegirine whenever I find it, both in Clusters, and blades, which I have hand-wrapped to be worn for protection. See the jewelry page for those.

Agate Geode

Agate Geode

Agate – Agate is so beautiful, and comes in the complete color spectrum. The variety of Agate offers limitless healing possibilities. All are different. Blue Lace Agate, Crazy Lace Agate, Dendritic Agate, Fire Agate, all have their own healing properties. See my individual listings for those.

Amazonite Carved Frog

Amazonite Carved Frog

Amazonite – Amazonite is a beautiful turquoise color. It is both a Heart Chakra Healer and  Throat Chakra healer. Gentle and supportive, I buy it in a number of forms, spheres, Palm sized stones, tumbled stones, and carved animals. Lovely.

Amethyst Geode Sphere

Amethyst Geode Sphere

Amethyst – Amethyst is a favorite with Crystal collectors, for good reason. The Violet Ray that Amethyst radiates vibrates to the Third Eye and Crown Chakras, as well as the Violet Flame of St Germaine. It is in the Quartz family, and has Iron, Lithium, and Aluminum content. It is soothing and calming, a natural stress reliever. It is priced by color grade, the darkest Amethyst being more expensive. The deepest purple Amethyst comes from Uruguay, an almost black purple. Brazil exports more Amethyst than any other country, with its Amethyst being a beautiful red-violet, or a grape jelly purple. ( Note: Brazil also heat-treats Amethyst Cathedrals, turning the Amethyst orange, selling the Amethyst as Citrine. It isn’t). Amethyst from Bolivia is a beautiful blue-violet, often containing splashes of Citrine in spots. The Anahai Mine is famous for its spectacular Amethyst, but is barely producing now. I have a limited quantity of Bolivian Amethyst available. All Amethyst is uplifting, raising the vibration of an entire room, if the piece is large enough. ( Obviously a tiny tumbled stone can’t do that, but placed under your pillow can be a wonderful sleep aid.) Amethyst is a must-have stone, in my opinion, for any healer, or for any environment. It is the gift that keeps on giving.

Ametrine Point

Ametrine Point

Ametrine – Ametrine is a combination of Amethyst and Citrine growing together within the same stone. Relatively rare, Ametrine blends the healing properties of both Citrine and Amethyst. Citrine is one of the few stones that never needs to be cleared. It balances all 7 Chakras. Amethyst is the stone of faith, hope, and optimism. It calms and soothes. From the perspective of Chinese medicine, Amethyst vibrates to the Water Element, ( The Kidney/Bladder meridians), while Citrine strengthens the Earth Element ( The Stomach/Spleen meridians). Working with Ametrine bridges the Earth and Water Elements. Powerful.

Amphibole Quartz – Amphibole Quartz is also called Angel Phantom Quartz. It is a group of minerals growing together that can include Tremolite, Hornblend, Richterite, Ribecktite, and others. Amphibole Quartz is often confused with Rutilated Quartz, due to the inclusions of fine threads that look like fur. It has one of the highest vibrational frequencies there is, connecting one to the higher self, along with guides and teachers, and the angelic realms. Fairly rare, usually found in Brazil.

Charoite is either a beautiful brown or violet, or a combination of both, often with inclusions of black Aegerine and golden Tinaksite. It is a powerful healing ally, assisting us in releasing old trauma. It purifies and protects. This is not a stone most beginners in the Crystal world are drawn to, due to its intensity. It has no peer in accessing the root of the trauma, gently bringing it up to conscious awareness to be released. It is the ultimate alchemist. Charoite is sold by color grade, the darker Violet being more expensive. The Charoite with white Feldspar inclusions, Quartz inclusions, or flecks of green Canasite inclusions is less pricey, but still powerful. There is very limited availability of Charoite, which impacts the price.

Citrine

Citrine

Citrine – The only Citrine you will find on my site is natural Citrine. You will never see heat-treated Amethyst here, being represented as Citrine. I will not have fake “Citrine”, aka heat-treated Amethyst on the premises. Natural Citrine is a pale gold, to honey amber color. It is far more rare than Amethyst, and more expensive. It’s Iron content is Fe3, where Amethyst is Fe2 and Fe4. Heating Amethyst does not change that. Natural Citrine never needs to be cleared, and balances all 7 Chakras. It is the premier manifesting stone. It strengthens the Third Chakra, boosting self-worth and confidence. It vibrates to the Sun, Astrologically, and is gently uplifting and warming. Ranging from a pale champagne to rich amber, natural Citrine is a must-have stone for everyone.  ** For further clarity on natural Citrine vs that heat-treated stuff, go to any mineralogical website, such as mindat.org.

Lemurian Seed Crystals vibrate to the planet Neptune, the visionary planet, opening the Third Eye and Crown Chakras.
